Chad Blair
Neurodiversity Consultant

Kia ora, I’m Chad
I help individuals, whānau, schools & workplaces identify and understand neurodivergence.
I have lived experience as someone with Autism & ADHD (AuDHD), I have children with neurodivergence and I also have a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology).
How can I help?
Education
I aim to educate individuals and groups about neurodiversity, emphasizing its crucial role in creating inclusive and productive environments.
Understanding that people process information differently is key to unlocking potential in various settings.
In workplaces, recognizing that neurodivergent individuals possess unique strengths, like the detail-oriented focus of someone with autism or the innovative thinking of someone with ADHD, allows for strategic role assignment and team building.
Similarly, in education, acknowledging diverse learning styles leads to adaptable teaching methodologies, fostering a more equitable and successful learning environment.
Embracing neurodiversity strengthens both workplaces and schools, making them more innovative, equitable, and effective.
.
Coaching
My coaching practice is dedicated to empowering both adults and children by fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique neurotype.
I achieve this through personalized, one-on-one coaching sessions that are particularly beneficial for neurodivergent individuals.
This tailored approach allows me to move beyond the limitations of group settings and standardized programs, focusing instead on each person’s specific needs, strengths, and challenges. Whether someone identifies with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or another neurodivergent profile, my coaching is designed to support them.
By building a consistent, supportive relationship, I aim to cultivate self-awareness, enhance confidence, and ultimately empower individuals to navigate their lives with greater success.
Advocacy
My mission is to actively champion the inclusion and well-being of neurodiverse individuals across all spheres of life, from schools and workplaces to society at large.
This involves a multi-faceted approach: advocating for necessary accommodations in education and employment, ensuring access to crucial healthcare and mental health support, and actively dispelling harmful stereotypes and misunderstandings surrounding neurodiversity.
Furthermore, a key aspect of my work is to center the voices of neurodivergent people themselves, empowering them to be the driving force behind conversations and policies that impact their lives.
Beyond direct advocacy, I strive to cultivate a wider understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity by raising public awareness, celebrating the unique contributions of neurodivergent individuals, and promoting environments free of prejudice and marginalization.
Ultimately, my goal is to foster equitable and supportive spaces where all neurodivergent individuals can thrive, reach their full potential, and feel valued for their unique perspectives.
